Adventures
The Eastern Ontario
Trails Alliance offers exceptional
ATV'ing excitement on its many miles of managed trails passing
through forests and along secluded lakes to its varied ATV'ing
events. Would you like to travel on many kilometres of groomed
trails and explore our outstanding forested and conservation areas
and visit outstanding locations inaccessible from the road? Then why
not participate in a day or weekend outing on your ATV, then return
to Beachwood Hollow and relax in your well appointed private cottage, overlooking picturesque Stoco Lake. Take in the many
stores and boutiques Tweed has to offer for your shopping pleasure, or dine in
one of the fine local restaurants.
The Village of Tweed is one of those memorable places where its past still shows in the well preserved architecture on its main thoroughfare, Victoria Street.
The railroad no longer comes through Tweed, but the railbed has been kept open as part of the Trans Canada Trail. Tweed is situated on the shores of two waters, the Moira River and Stoco Lake. Both offer the pleasures of canoeing, kayaking and swimming as well as exciting fishing. Stoco Lake is famous for champion-sized muskelenge. (The above description courtesy of Maril Swan/Tweed News)
